Best Anti-Aging Habits
The fast development of science and technology has also advanced the anti-aging techniques of cosmetology. Different surgical and non-surgical methods have been introduced to conceal the effects of aging. If performed by qualified professionals, new anti-aging technology will provide immediate and satisfactory results. This is why most of those who can afford would rather go for these processes.

On the other hand, why would you spend a dime when the best anti-aging methods actually come for free? In fact, they are not even secrets. A number have already been written about them but people get swayed by well-crafted marketing.

Effective anti-aging only calls for very simple habits. After you learn them from this article, you would not even think of their purpose, because these habits can be actually as normal as breathing.

Habit 1. Avoiding the Sun

In case you didn’t know, the sun is your skin’s worst nemesis. It emits UV radiations that cause collagen breakdown, formation of free radicals, and cell death. These were also found to affect DNA repair and immune system stability. All of these factors contribute to skin damage and skin cancer. Because of the thinning of the ozone layer, it is most advisable to use sunblock with at least an SPF30.

Habit 2. Never Smoking or Staying away from those who those who smoke

Aside from the sun, smoking causes skin aging faster than anything else. It doesn’t just bring death; it also makes the body ugly. Some of the effects of smoking are blood vessel constriction, vitamin C malabsorption, vitamin A storage reduction, and like the sun, it also causes collagen breakdown and formation of free radicals. All of which will eventually lead to skin damage and faster and increased skin wrinkling.

Habit 3. Obtaining a Healthy Balanced Diet

It may most probably be the nth time that you’ve heard or read this advice. This is because it is 100% reliable and proven. There is even no need for any elaboration.

Habit 4. Getting Enough Rest and Performing Regular Exercise

Like habit 3, I may not even need to mention this. But the title promised “the best” and this habit is definitely one of them. 7-8 hours of sleep is what the experts recommend. However, a study showed that the time you naturally wake up; this means without the aid of any alarm or disturbance, is when the body has already attained the hours of rest that it needed. A moderately intense cardio workout for 30 minutes daily is a basic recommendation.

Habit 5. Always having a Positive Attitude

For some people, this may be hard to achieve but getting rid of negative emotions and maintaining a positive attitude will not only decelerate the aging process but will also give you a much happier life. Continuous exposure to emotional stress leads to illness and premature aging. Meanwhile, optimists look younger and live longer. A simple reason is that happiness increases the level of good chemicals in the human body. Always look on the brighter side of life and be thankful of what you have so that contentment may come; and remember that worrying is the most useless emotion ever felt.

Looking younger does not necessarily have to require some fortune. The best and most effective anti-aging habit is achieving a simple balance of physical, emotional and mental wellness.
